German-born Spanish trumpeter, David Pastor began his trumpet studies in his hometown under Manuel Lopez with whom he acquired the foundation that would help him develop his trumpet technique for both classical and modern trumpet styles. He concluded his degree under Jaume Espigolé at the Municipal Conservatory of Music of Barcelona (Spain).
His jazz studies also began in his hometown. He began performing with the Valencia Jazz Band under the direction of Ramón Cardo. This would be the beginning of a rich jazz career allowing him to play and record with many of the most influential Spanish and international artists from both the jazz and pop music scene.
Some of the prestigious concert venues that David has performed on include Carnegie Hall (USA) and appearances at the international jazz festivals of Montreal (Canada), Montreux (Switzerland), Eurojazz (Mexico), Cully (Switzerland), Mercado Cultural de Salvador de Bahia (Brazil) and the Spanish festivals of San Sebastián and Barcelona.
