Biography

Carlos first began his studies in Valencia under maestros Joan Olivert and Hermenegildo Rosa, and continued with Salvador Albert, Vicente Prats and Manuel López. He completed his studies in the Royal Higher Conservatory of Music of Madrid (Spain) under José María Ortí.

He was a member of the National Spanish Youth Orchestra and has vast experience with many Spanish orchestras as a freelancer.

From the year 1989 on, Carlos, along with Juanjo Serna, has been a member of the prestigious brass quintet Spanish Brass Luur Metalls, with whom he has recorded, toured and given master classes throughout the world: Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts (USA), Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London (United Kingdom), Paris National Higher Conservatory of Music and Dance (France), Yale University (USA), Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, University of Georgia (USA), Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester (United Kingdom), ITG Conference in Gothenburg (Sweden), Atlanta University (USA), Showa Academy of Performing Arts (Japan), Lieksa Brass Week (Finland)...
